In response to increasing interest from Latin American investors attracted to US real estate, a group of Latin American and US business representatives and organizations joined in early 2003, to develop, organize and deliver seminars on how to invest in the US.

Expectations of success were more than satisfied by the large attendance. Most participants manifested being interested and satisfied by the information provided during the seminars, as well as with the professionalism of the presenters.

The objective of these seminars is to illustrate and explain, to the prospective investor, the process of purchase, sale, finance and administration of real estate property in the US, thus bolstering the market with educated individuals and businesses that will invest their capital with confidence.

Several key topics are discussed during the seminars, such as in-depth explanation of different investment options; hot investment zones of South Florida; and the diversity in organizational platforms available to maximize profit possibilities and federal taxation benefits offered for foreign investors.

The seminar provides, as well, a detailed explanation of different financing programs developed with the purpose of assisting foreign business representatives in this type of investment.

The profile of the participant is comprehensive, and includes but is not limited to, those:

  • Interested in buying a second home
  • Interested in buying “pre-construccion” and selling before the project is finalized
  • Interested in generating rental income
  • Interested in business expansion opportunities
  • Interested in financing or re-financing property already owned in Florida
  • Interested in selling their property in Florida

The seminar ends with a cocktail and sponsor exhibit in the lobby, where sponsors will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the participants and display and showcase their product.
